Pi-hole Not Blocking in Chrome? Turn Off Secure DNS
If ads are still sneaking through with Mullvad pointed at Pi-hole, have a look in the browser. Chrome and Brave bury Use secure DNS under Settings, Privacy and security, Security. Edge is under Privacy, search and services, then Security. Firefox is DNS over HTTPS under Privacy and Security; set Enable secure DNS to Off. That talks to someone else and never hits your Pi-hole, so the Query Log stays quiet. Mullvad list it as a common cause of DNS leaks. Turn it off if you want the lab setup doing the DNS. #pihole #dns
